Well, I ordered my new computer last Thursday. Sadly, Labor Day weekend happens to the second worst time to order computer parts from an online retailer, as they can't really ship it to you. Still, they bumped my shipping up from 5-7day ground to 2 day air, and I'm really pleased with that.

I ordered the following parts from TigerDirect.com:
ABit KV7 Socket Motherboard
Athalon XP 3000+ Proccesor
Connect 3D Radeon 9250se AGP 128mb Graphics Card
1x Ultra 512mb PC3200 DDR 400mhz dual-channel memory
EZ-Medya G7 Thermo LCD case


Certainly not the best parts on the market, but considering I've been working on a IBM Thinkpad T42 with a 1.4ghz Pentium M (Centrino) all summer, it ought to be an improvement. I also ordered some lights & extra fans from Newegg.com <<< not neccesarily a better site, you have to look around, remember!

I'm also going to order a cable sleeving kit and a new MOLEX tool from somewhere, not sure where yet.

Ah well, hopefully the main components will be here Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll post again when they get here.
